Mr. Jeffrey Rose concentrates his activities in commercial litigation, bankruptcy and insolvency, real estate, general corporate and transactional matters, and probate. He is engaged in all aspects of commercial litigation in both state and federal courts. He has extensive experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in mechanics lien and other construction related litigation, and has also represented clients before governmental regulatory agencies. In one proceeding before the General Services Administration Board of Contract Appeals in 2004, he successfully defended a government contractor from a multimillion dollar overcharge claim. Mr. Rose has lectured to construction suppliers on mechanics liens and surety bonds and on insolvency issues, including assignments for the benefit of creditors. He has also been engaged in appellate work in the various areas of his concentration in both state and federal courts, including the reported cases of McEwen v. Federal National Mortgage Association, 194 B.R. 594 (N.D. Ill. 1996); Christian v. Citibank, F.S.B. and Illinois Real Estate Opportunity Fund I, 214 B.R. 352 (N.D. Ill. 1997); and Zedan v. Habash, 360 B.R. 775 (N.D. Ill. 2007).
